Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Party presumptive nominee for president, is getting deeper in her search of a suitable running mate. Surprisingly, one of the biggest things she is looking for is chemistry.
The former Secretary of State is eyeing for someone, who will be able to complement her on policy, and at the same time not overshadow her as a candidate. According to reports, her team is focusing on ten names.
The New York Times reports that Julián Castro, the current secretary of housing and former mayor of San Antonio, Texas, is close to the top of the list.
Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown is also being considered; the same goes for Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren. Virginia senators and former governors Tim Kaine and Mark Warner are also being discussed.
It seems that Warren is not a favorite to become Clinton’s running mate, at this point, Castro and Kaine are the ones that are in the lead.
