Minka Kelly and Trevor Noah could not save their romance despite their best attempts.
This week, a source confirmed to PEOPLE Magazine that the lovebirds had flown their separate ways — this time, it is for good.
A first source explained to PEOPLE that Kelly, 41, and Noah, 38, split months ago. The person familiar with the situation claimed: “Minka is single now. She is very single, and they have been broken up for a while.”
Another reliable insider shared that Kelly is not torn about the situation. Au contraire, she is happy to be single and is looking forward to a new chapter.
The friend noted: “She has the best attitude. She is very happy. She’d rather be single than waste her time with the wrong guy. Noah was too focused on work and didn’t have enough time for a relationship. He’s back in the dating game as well. They’re officially over.”
The Euphoria actress and the comedian started dating in 2020 in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.
Back then, it was revealed that the duo had begun making plans to spend their lives together.
Talking to the same publication, a source shared: “They’re very happy. It’s a very serious relationship.”
The pal went on to say: “They’re making plans for a future together, and it’s a very stable relationship. They’ve been spending time between coasts over the last year and had been looking for a place in L.A. as a couple.”
As the romance was heating up, The Daily Show host splashed $27.5 million on a stunning Bel-Air mansion that came with six bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and three half-bathrooms.
However, the bicoastal romance suffered because of the distance and the T.V. host’s grueling work schedule, and they parted ways briefly in May 2021.
They reunited a few weeks later and took a romantic vacation in St. Barts as they tried to figure things out.
It seemed like wedding bells were about to ring for the pair after Kelly took to her official Instagram page to announce that she was enjoying a trip to South Africa with Noah this past January to celebrate a friend’s birthday.
Photos from the gateway revealed that the star met with Noah’s closest friends and some family members.
Kelly described the visit to Noah’s home country as “the holiday of a lifetime.”
